A Closer Look at U of M Buildings; A Guidebook

2016

As you expect to see on a college campus, the University of Michigan has numerous school buildings of all shapes and sizes that students frequent. However, unlike many other campuses, the UMich buildings span years of different architectural styles that make each building stand out in its own unique way. More often than not, each buildings’ historical qualities are also their main identifiers. For instance, a building that’s half modern looking and half Romanesque, or one that looks like Hogwarts. Many of my favorite buildings that I have meandered by and through during undergrad in Ann Arbor are highlighted here.

I have an interest in photography and capturing fine details that are often over-looked in the world around us. The most fun I had while making this project was exploring each buildings’ exterior more in depth than I ever had before with a camera in-hand.
